Perspective and Attitude while Dealing with Life Experiences

Perspective and Attitude while Dealing with Life Experiences

As human beings sometimes as we move through life joyously this does not necessarily mean that we have been blessed with lives of abundance, love, success, and prosperity. Other times we find ourselves faced with the challenge of a new experience that is confusing and causes us to feel sad. It is best to remain with the feelings, experiencing the circumstance fully until there is nothing left to experience and until the feelings dissolve into the realm of stillness and peace. Then comes the moment to move on to a deeper discovery process of reflection and shift the attitude we have regarding the experience. Allow this processing of the experience to occur, in fact ask for it….ask to be shown the deeper meaning of the experience while remaining the observer.

We have all been blessed with the ability to take the experiences handed to us and to seek the gift within the experiences and transform them into something extraordinary. This often requires a shift in our perception along with a knowing that both feelings of joy and despair come from within and have nothing to do with the actual experience itself; remembering that we are only seeing our own perception of the experience.

Some situations we regard as blessings that please us and make us happy, while other situations cause us sadness and seemingly no end of grief. Yet if we can look at the experience from a place of pure awareness, without dwelling on our perceived misfortune and make each new circumstance our own, a shift will occur and the world as a whole becomes a brighter place.

Perhaps the more we awaken; our yearning to help others might be bringing us opportunities to invest our time or resources to help others on their path. Perhaps this is our true path, perhaps we are all filled with a sense of generosity that it might even be something that is borne within us and becomes activated in our lives from our desire to put positive energy into the world by making someone else’s life easier.

A simple shift in attitude can help us recognize and uncover the hidden potential and/or gift for every circumstance we find ourselves in and by allowing the inner light to flow into the outer world brings to us a new understanding and fulfillment in every experience including every perceived setback.

The universe is often an unpredictable, but it will never bring to us anything that we cannot handle; but our unique perception and attitude regarding our experiences can be no more or no less than what we make of it. When faced with the prospect of understanding and/or undertaking all of our experiences, we can view it them as an opportunity to discover what we are truly capable of doing and being. A change in perspective is all it takes to change our world, but we must be willing to adopt an optimistic, hopeful mind-set.

While serving and helping others this might also be a good time to practice the higher art of self-less service by remembering that it is not the act of serving or helping that is important, but the recognition that our acts of service are merely an extension of the loving part of our spirit that is connected to all other beings through universal love.

This is a higher aspect to our acts of service that comes from our innate ability to channel the unconditional love of the universe and allow this energy to flow to all those around us. These higher acts of compassion and kindness come from a deeper and much more loving place, helping us realize that the gift of serving others is a gift not from our self but from a deeper form; a higher form of loving energy that we are connected to.

May we continue to see the gifts and blessings in all of our experiences ……..Love and light, Christina
